I'm a screwed up kid

3 months of torture had finally begun!!

Well, with reference to the above subject, I suppose you would have guessed what this post would be all about right?

Well, yes! My internship with UHY KL had commenced and so far so good!! I find my learning experience here is way awesome than my previous working experience in EY as a trainee. I'm not saying that EY is not good. It's just that trainee there seriously do TRAINEE work, ie.: photocopying, filing, assisting in several sections, casting and not forgetting VOUCHING. So basically, I don't really understand the reason I do certain things.

It is very much different working in a medium firm. Being a medium firm, they definitely do have short of staffs, especially during peak period (Nov - Feb! My 'perfect' intern timing! lol). So you definitely will get quite a lot of hands on work.

So, on my first day itself, I was dumped with one whole client's files to work with! I was kinda shock and in disbelief when my senior actually told me: "That pile of files will be yours." I practically don't know where to begin with, what I'm supposed to do, and I was totally blank. So I asked my senior to brief me, and she explained everything so well, that I finally understood the whole audit process! For now :)

So, no complains about my work as I currently LOVE my job, love what I'm learning and I look forward to more challenging ones. hehe. I really hope that my working experience this time round will come in handy when I join the work force next year. :)

Yesterday, Deloitte Penang actually called me! Here's the conversation I had:

Deloitte: "Hi, is this Lynnah?"

Me: (I thought she said Linda) "Linda? Sorry, wrong number"

Actually I spoke in a really soft tone as I was at client's place

Deloitte: "Hello? Hello? Is this Lynnah"

Me: "Sorry, wrong number"

**she still didn't hear me saying wrong number**

Deloitte: "Are you still interested in Deloitte ah?"

Me: "I'm sorry, I can't take the offer as I'm already engaged in one"

Deloitte: "Oh. Ok then. Bye"

Me: in a total ZZZ mode!!!

Why can't Deloitte just call even 1 week earlier la. Duh! What a waste of opportunity!

Hmmmmmm..

Never mind then. I've already signed a contract with UHY and leaving abruptly doesn't make good reputation, so......all I can do is SIGHHHHHH.

Why the change of name?

Hmm.. I wonder.. Why would people go to a Chinese medium, and have their own name, the name given by their parents, changed?

All you hear was that so called 'medium' mumbling and chanting or flexing his fingers as if he can predict your future, and you would believe every single thing he/she said. How can you justify what that fella said were accurate, and miraculous things will happen?

If mediums can predict the future, I'd say, let's go to him/her to get 4D and fatt tatt!

Woohoo!! Today, after my exam, when I got back my phone from the invigilators, I had a shock-a-ma-life! There are about 10 miss calls from UHY KL!! Haha. Apparently they were trying to reach me to inform me that I have been accepted to UHY KL for intership!! muahahahahahaha. I'm certainly over the moon! :D

I look forward to a great learning experience, commencing on 26.11.2010 till 26.02.2011. hehehe

Alright. I gotta go. One more paper to die for xD

The Other Guys

I've just reached home after a movie + an errand done. I've headed over to Tropicana Mall with hubbie today, went for lunch + movie. It was also my first time at the mall. Well surprisingly, the mall's quite nice + neat and tidy, it's a weekend, but the crowd was just minimal. Quite unexpected. Perhaps due to its not-strategic-famous location? I wonder..


Anyway, I went and watched The Other Guys, starring Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson and Will Ferrell. At the first glance of the poster + trailer,and having seen so many of these mega stars, I would expect something bombastic. Unfortunately, I think instead, the movie was a FLOP! 


Firstly, Dwayne Johnson's entrance into the movie, would make you think he's gonna pull some awesome stunts, however instead, his appearance in the movie lasted for only about...10 minutes? Fine. But his exit of the movie was also somewhat.. nonsensical. Why would you jump down from a 20 storey building rather than performing some heroic cop buster thing? Hmm... or maybe I didn't catch the story line well?

Too bad your appearances went too short!

I don't fancy this movie as I think it's rather silly. The supposedly jokes turned out...dumb! Mark had been yelling around ALMOST the whole time, which makes it quite irritating after some time, and Will Ferrell's losing control of his temper at times were just...I don't know. I find his way of losing temper were just way too out of ordinary.

If only the guys had pulled such stunts!

Well then, enough said, or else I'll be spoiling the movie for those who hasn't watched it :P

In a nutshell, it's definitely not a recommended movie xD

What a HUUGGGEEEE RELIEVE!!! I've just returned from Pathlab and my report shows that I am PERFECTLY healthy! muahahahahahaha. With one little exception: my LDL (bad cholesterol) is a lil bit high, so I need to watch my food intake. i.e.: reduce seafood + oily stuffs. kekeke.


My world rite now is lighten up once again and I thank God for that ^^

The Moment of Truth!

*Jeng Jeng Jeng~* Here comes the moment of truth! The moment of me unwrapping the bandage, to see if my injured foot had improved~!! Before the revelations, I must say, my foot STINKS like hell!!! LOL! Good thing I opened my window to let some fresh air in otherwise my whole room's gonna stink of herbs for days! XD

Yaiks!! The sight of my left foot after un-bandaged was downright horrible! XD I could see black stains from the herbs that Chinese physician put in place for me. Well, my foot still hurts a little even after a dose of treatment. So, I've decided to head over to Pathlab on Thursday morning, 8.30am - 9am at Kelana Jaya for a blood test.I'm sure it's gonna make me broke soon, but, for the sake of health, nevermind lah. I shall save up for shopping next month then XD
