Macau Revisited

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittt's CASINOS AGAIN!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

7th July 2011
My whole family departed for Guangzhou's border at freaking 7AM+!!
Argh!
I seemed to not be able to get lotsa precious sleep this trip then.
After a hearty breakfast, off we went to looking for adventures in
MACAU!

Scenery along Zhu Hai, Guangzhou

YEA!! Gong Bei Port - GZ's Imigration to Macau

Alas! Macau's border!!!! ^^

WOooOts!! Macau, here we are!!
After we were outta immigration, we went straight to get a bus, to our first destination:
CASINO LISBOA

Hoppity hopped onto Lisboa's bus!
Enjoy scenery of Macau below~~ ^^

Skyscrappers

Finally! After a rocking 30 minutes ride on the bus, we've arrived at Casino Lisboa.
The new casino's luxuriously-glittering exterior made us all in awe!
It's nothing but GLAM!
Casino Lisboa!!!

Love the exquisite design!!

Another Lisboa.. But the old one..

Old vs New Lisboa.
Just opposite each other
Enough of the outside. Now let's take a peep at it's interior.
;)

Casino Lisboa's lobby

Aaahhhh.. I've discovered a treasure chest!
And I GOT SCOLDED for snapping this! xD

Awesomely luxurious crystal hanging lights!
Love it!
A fleet of Rolls Royce ready for VIPs
Awesome eh?

Well, we did stop by at the casino and poked around.
But we didn't gamble though ;)

Alright, enough about Lisboa.
Next destination: Streets of Macau!
To get there, we actually took a bus. A local mini bus =)
Well, it's no easy task in getting a bus, being in the bus as well as getting down from the bus.
People just kept pushing around!
I suppose the bus doesn't come as frequent as Rapid KL then
:P
Anyway, our next stop is Senado Square, revisited :)
Enjoy the photos!

It's Senado Square!

I tell you
The weather then was superbly HOT!!!
All of us were sweating head to toe!
Even my sun glass kept sliding down the bridge of my nose!
I became an "ah pun neh neh" in just 1 afternoon
>.<
After quite a long sweaty walk, we arrived at Ruins of St. Paul.

According to Wikipedia,
"Ruins of St. Paul is the ruins of a 16th century complex in Macau, including of what was originally St. Paul's College and the Cathedral of St. Paul also known as "Mater Dei", a 17th century Portuguese cathedral dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle." The ruins is a famous landmark of Macau. I'm sure you're able to spot this in Hong Kong TVB dramas!
*wink wink ;)*

Yay! Finally we've got ourselves a resting spot! And under the shade!
*what a bliss*
♥
♥ Mom & Dad
^^
Aaahhhhh.. I bought these Portuguese Egg Tarts while
the rest were having a rest! Those tarts were
OwwwSSssommmee!!!!
♥!
澳門鉅記手信!
They have about 6 branches on the
SAME STREET!!
Crazy eh? I wonder how other shop owners compete
@_@
Hmm... Yummy egg tarts.
Well I am definitely don't fancy egg tarts
But I must say, those Portuguese egg tarts were GOOD!
After a goody good snack, we're off for real lunch
Famous 大利来记猪肉面!

Another bus to board

Here we are!

The "Zhu Pa Bao" that is only available at 3pm,which
we never had the chance to try =(

v(^_^)v

Mom & Dad

Yum yum "Zhu Pa Mien"

A cuppa lemonade that cost 18 bucks!!!
What a cut throat coffee shop!
After a sweaty lunch
(mind you, the weather sux-ed and the stand fan stood a good 5 feet away!)
We headed off to our hotel: Venetian Hotel

Our suite :D
Everything about Venetian is awesome!
The rooms, the views, the SHOPPING, everything.is.GOOD!
Hehe.
After depositing our luggage, we headed off to the casino
All of us went with mom to her favorite game:  老虎机 a.k.a Jackpot machine!
Mom slotted in 100 bux of Macau Pataca, and started the game, in the hope of getting jackpot.

The "smart" ass me, thought:
Why not just hit MAXIMUM bet so Mom could have the highest chance of winning
This is anyhow Mom usually plays at Genting, where the total bets for each roll would come to only RM1
So without much hesitation, I HIT THAT FREAKING MAXIMUM BET BUTTON!

And guess what?
ALL 100bux GONE!
Mom lost the game.
I didn't know that there're so many lines in the machine and each lines requires xx amount of bet!

Poor mom!

After seeing the results, Mom wanted to see how much credits left so she could decide how much to bet on
Unfortunately, Mom didn't know the maximum bet took all her "capital"
She was looking all over for her remaining credits!
>.<
What a blur case!
Haha.
I will never gamble again! Nor chip in anyone's game!
Sorry Mom
._.
:D

After the "mishap" at the casino
We headed off to St. Mark's Square - A shopper's heaven
After lunch at the food court, we continued our day shopping.

At night, we went over to Galaxy Macau, hotel opposite of Venetian

Our little tour around Galaxy
I thought they were some sort of robots from afar!
My hubby, my parents and I went for another round of gambling in Galaxy
I'm glad to say that we did win a little from there
More than enough to cover our losses as well as "capital"
Though the winnings weren't much, the joy we had was utmost important.

Well then, that's pretty much of my Macau trip.
The trip was certainly a pleasant one, except
for the next day's morning breakfast at Galaxy
Which was a total disaster!
The breakfast took more than 30 minutes to serve!
Our fried fish platter!
To sum it up,
Macau trip was indeed a trip to remember
=)

*Cheers~!*
