Just returned from a Chinese physician. Doctor said I had uric acid. Basically uric acid is a chemical created when the body breaks down substances called purines. Purines are found in some foods and drinks, such as liver, anchovies, mackerel, dried beans and peas, beer and wine. So this means I must avoid (reduce, not avoid :P) sea food, icy cold drinks, and any sour kinda food / drinks =((( Most uric acid dissolves in blood and travels to the kidneys, where it passes out in urine. If your body produces too much uric acid or doesn't remove enough of it, you can get sick. (full info here) This is where I am now. A swollen foot and unable to walk properly, leaving me hopping around one-legged.
So from now on, I shall be determined to take care of my diet. Upon recovery, I shall reduce the intake of seafood, and sour stuffs + drink warm drinks only. No such ice lemon tea anymore =(((
Sad case. Now that my left foot's bandaged, not a single drop of water can be spilled on my precious foot. Hopefully once I've removed the bandage on Monday, I will be in full recovery.
Hope that I'm blessed.
p/s: sorry bee, your room stinks of Chinese herbs now XD
Note: Edited some parts. Well, the herbs were given to reduce swelling, not to treat uric acid. Also, reports had confirmed latter that I am perfectly healthy! *winks*
